Glenwood Springs is hosting this free, family-friendly event with live entertainment throughout the day to celebrate the sustainable efforts that the Roaring Fork Valley is working toward. Join us on Earth Day - April 22nd, to help our community focus on the local efforts in sustainability.
This sustainable community event features exhibits and hands-on activities aimed at educating our community about protecting our environment and living green. With many family-friendly booths; hosted by community groups, local businesses, environmental organizations and government agencies, the Earth Day Celebration is a fun festival for all ages.
Festival Highlights - April 22 - Noon - 5pm
Community Bike Ride – Join in on the free community bike ride with the Roaring Fork Young Professionals.
The ride starts in Two Rivers Park at 11:30am. You will then continue along the River Trail across the new
14th Street Pedestrian Bridge, coming back along Midland, up 8th, up behind Vogelaar Park, to 9th and
finishing at the Earth Day Celebration. Bike parking corral provided by the City of Glenwood Springs in
the parking lot of Sunlight Bike & Ski Shop. The ride is 2.9 miles. Bike Parking is available at the event.

Green Gardens – Come find out more about our local community gardens and how you can start a garden at home. Free children’s activities!
Children’s Educational Activities – Many of the Earth Day exhibitors have a special educational activity for children.

REV Up Your Ride: 1-3pm - Check out new plug-in electric vehicles offered at a discount in the Electric Vehicles Sales Event. Dealer discounts on clean-burning all-electric vehicles and gasoline-electric hybrids, plus state and federal tax credits, make now the right time to consider an electric vehicle. Visit the EV Sales Event display to look at several EV models, take a test drive, and learn about EV charging options. Hosted by City of Glenwood Springs, Refuel Colorado, Garfield Clean Energy and CLEER.
Unused or Expired Pharmaceuticals – Bring your unused or expired pharmaceuticals for safe and proper disposal in Centennial Park with the Glenwood Springs Police Department.
